Vorarlberg is the westernmost federal state of Austria. It borders three countries: Germany, Switzerland and Liechtenstein.

Vorarlberg is almost completely mountainous. It has a Germanic Alpine culture, quite different from the rest of Austria, and has been nicknamed the ‘Ländle’ meaning ‘small land’.
The greatest tourist attractions are the mountains and the numerous ski resorts . In the summer Vorarlberg is great for hiking and sightseeing.
